Becky, Jen, and Diane hosted my first shower at Becky's house on October 16th. They were amazing hostesses and everything looked and tasted incredible! Word has it that Jen's husband, Travis, made the chicken salad for the sandwiches... wow... were they good! The girls also made one of my favorite desserts: green apple slices with a cream cheese, caramel, and heath bar dip. Yum!
One of the games we played included sculpting playdough to resemble baby items for our team to guess. Can you tell what I sculpted? (It's a onesie) Thanks to everyone who came and who made the day so special for me!!!!Second Shower: October 23rd
Norma Cano (a longtime family friend) hosted my second shower for my extended family and family friends with the help of my mom, grandma, and a few other wonderful women in my family. My mother-in-law made this amazing diaper cake filled with goodies like hair ribbons, pacifiers, bibs, sunglasses, and more.
Above are three generations of women with the fourth in my belly! My grandma can't wait to be called "Gigi" (Great-Grandma) :)
The Johnson girls (my cousin, aunt, and cousin's grandma) traveled from San Francisco area tobe there for the shower.
My mom gave a special devotional time where she told the story of Abigail from the Bible and also asked women to share words of wisdom for motherhood. It was a very meaningful time and I got a lot of helpful advice from experienced moms.

My friend Katie (on the left) surprised me by flying in from New York to be at the shower.
My grandma made lots of goodies for the shower including this beautiful carrot cake above and some amazing truffles (below). I hope to pass on these baking skills to Abigail someday!
After two showers, Baby Abigail is all set. It's amazing how much stuff such a little person needs! Now all we need is for her to come (but not for a few weeks, I hope)!
