Solids and a Wedding

On Memorial Day weekend, we ventured into the world of solid food with Abigail. Both of our parents had come over for a BBQ, so we thought it would be a fun time to conduct her first feeding. It was a success (although she was so distracted by the many faces and encouraging words and cheers from her grandparents, that it took quite a long time to feed her)! Here is the evidence:

"I'll take that spoon, please"

" I'm not so sure about this stuff mom..."

"No Mom, not more rice cereal... I'd rather eat my bib!"



"These sweet potatoes taste much better thank you!"

"Hand over the sweet potatoes and no one gets hurt!"

This new world of food has me on my toes. I just hope she likes her veggies!

This past weekend, we traveled to Northern California for my cousin Jessica's wedding. They got married in the Walnut orchard next door to my aunt and uncle's house. It rained all day and then the sun came out about an hour before the ceremony! It was muddy, but it was beautiful.
