1 Month Old + Baby Dedication

It's hard to believe that Abigail is already one month old (and a week)!
She's growing so quickly and weighs almost 12 pounds already... she's quickly growing out of the 3 month old clothing! We are loving every minute with her and enjoying getting to know her as she becomes more alert and active every day. She's been much more atune to voices and music lately, so it has been fun to explore new toys and music players with her. There are definitely challenges that come with parenthood in these early days (lack of sleep, TONS of laundry, and difficulty getting much done), but it's more than worth it. I told David the other day that it is amazing how quickly you can fall in love with someone... we love her to pieces and our so grateful for this little gift from the Lord. Happy One Month to our precious baby girl!

Although she's growing so quickly and it seems like she's getting so big, she looks TINY on David's shoulders!


We dedicated Abby on Sunday, January 16th... David's 30th birthday. It was a very special day and we were blessed to have my grandmother and aunt and uncle join us from Northern California along with both of our families for the special event. I was worried that Abby might cry or fuss on stage, but she did great and was even awake for the service! Yay! We can't wait to see the film footage the church took. Our friends the Lockridges also dedicated their son Levi and it was special to share the commitment day with them. After the service, we had brunch at the Cheesecake Factory with everyone to celebrate. David said that dedicating Abigail was definitely the best part of his 30th birthday. What an amazing man I married! I look forward to many more wonderful years of life and parenthood with him!
