7 Months

Last week, Abigail turned 7 months old. As with many of her peers, it's difficult to take a picture of her sitting still these days, but here are a few of our attempts...


She's not crawling quite yet, but she is very active. She lunges toward items she wants and barrel rolls on the ground to get where she'd like to go... it seems like she'll be creeping/crawling within the next month. As for verbal development, Abigail has started babbling with the "ba-ba" "da-da" "ma-ma" and "na-na" sounds. It's been quite fun to hear "ma-ma" several times, even if she doesn't necessarily equate it with me yet :)

Recently, Abigail has seemed less interested in her toys and much more interested in anything we have (glasses, napkins, paper, magazines, phones, hats, laundry baskets, etc.)
Another favorite game of hers is to put some of her clothing (or mine in the picture below) over her face to play peek-a-boo with us. We pull it off and then she smiles and puts it back on her face...

David has also enjoyed having Abigail help him root for his favorite team this summer
