In order to celebrate David's 30th Birthday, we headed up to the Santa Ynez Wine country with our families and a few friends for a weekend to do some wine tasting.

We started the day off with a picnic lunch at Sunstone vineyards in Santa Ynez. It was a beautiful day and we couldn't have asked for nicer weather in mid-January. We enjoyed the beautiful green hills as we sipped our wine and enjoyed our picnic.

We rented a limo for our day's transportation so that we could hang out together and not worry too much about our wine consumption (although no one over-indulged). Here's some snapshots of the fun inside our Hummer Limo:

Our second stop of the day was at Lincourt Winery, which is owned by the same people who own Firestone vineyards. We tasted in a beautiful gazebo overlooking some of their vineyards.

Next, we stopped at Beckman, a small winery with a rural feel and great wines.

Our final wine tasting stop of the day was at a small, family owned winery called Demetria. This winery had a gorgeous location and we thoroughly enjoyed our time tasting wine in their outdoor courtyard. We had a chance to talk to the owner and we found out that he was from Manhattan Beach of all places!

Kelly, David's mom, took charge of Abigail while we were wine-tasting and the four grandparents chauffeured Abigail throughout the day. We couldn't have made the trip happen without their help!

We had an amazing weekend! Thanks to everyone who made David's birthday celebration so special!
Looks like so much fun! Glad Abby did so well.
